Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood drifts in, reading a magazine upside down in a compartment of the Hogwarts Express. A Ravenclaw a year below Harry, she is the only child of Xenophilius Lovegood, editor of The Quibbler, the eccentric magazine she takes entirely seriously along with its catalogue of creatures and conspiracies most wizards dismiss out of hand. She wears radish-shaped earrings and a necklace of butterbeer corks, keeps her wand tucked behind her ear for safekeeping, and says exactly what she is thinking with a dreamy calm that unsettles people far more than shouting could. Classmates find her odd. Luna appears sublimely untroubled by this.
