Ludovic Bagman, called Ludo, is Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports at the Ministry of Magic. Before the Ministry he played Beater for the Wimbourne Wasps and for the English national side, and he is reckoned the best Beater the Wasps ever had. He is blond and blue eyed with rosy skin, loud, genial and paternal in manner, though the boasting can tip into rudeness. He treats the rules of wizarding secrecy casually, talking Quidditch openly in front of Muggles, and he has a weakness for a wager. He has a brother named Otto.
