Little Hangleton

Little Hangleton is a small English village that appears in the opening pages of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The largest house in it belonged to the Riddles, wealthy Muggles who owned much of the surrounding land in the early twentieth century and were disliked in the village for their snobbery. The house has changed hands many times since, and by 1994 the villagers say the wealthy man who owns it neither lives there nor puts it to any use, keeping it for vague reasons of tax. Its one permanent resident is Frank Bryce, the gardener the Riddles employed, kept on by every owner since.
