Lestrange

Lestrange, no first name recorded, is a minor figure from Hogwarts history, glimpsed in a scene from the school's past several decades before Harry's time. He appears as a Slytherin student of the 1940s, one of a small set of boys who keep company with a polished classmate named Tom Riddle, and a member of the Slug Club, the supper circle of the Potions master Horace Slughorn. He wears a ring embossed with the serpent of Slytherin house and is behind on an essay, for which Slughorn threatens detention. He carries a surname belonging to one of the old pure-blood wizarding families, and beyond this single glimpse nothing else is known of him directly.
