The Inquisitorial Squad is a body of Hogwarts students hand-picked by Dolores Umbridge, the Ministry official installed at the school as High Inquisitor, in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Its members are chosen for their support of the Ministry and charged with keeping order among the rest of the students. They wear a small silver I on their robes. Some of them put the authority to petty use against students they happen to dislike.
