Every meal at Hogwarts is cooked in a cavernous room below the Great Hall, its five tables set out exactly like the ones above.
The Hogwarts kitchens sit beneath the Great Hall, a vast high-ceilinged room where every meal served at the school is prepared. Five long tables stand in exactly the positions of the tables in the hall above. Pots and pans are heaped along the stone walls, and a wide brick fireplace faces the door. House-elves run the kitchens and sleep there, in a village of old barrels they built with their own magic.
