Harry Potter's first Golden Snitch is the small winged golden ball he chases in his first Quidditch match, Gryffindor against Slytherin, and ends the game by catching in his mouth.
The Snitch flashes past a Slytherin Chaser's ear, and Harry races neck and neck with Terence Higgs after it until Marcus Flint blocks him and it vanishes again. In the end Harry dives for the ground, coughs the ball up into his hand and holds it high, while Flint protests that he only nearly swallowed it.
