The Freezing Spell, or Glacius Charm, sends icy-cold air from the tip of the wand at whatever it is aimed at. It will freeze water, put out a fire, or freeze an opponent where they stand, and the cold runs sharp enough that everyone nearby finds their breath turning to thick white mist. Hogwarts teaches it to third-years, both in Defence Against the Dark Arts and in Charms, where it has appeared on the third-year examination. An object can also be enchanted with it, so that it strikes whoever touches the thing.
