Firebolt
A racing broom released in 1993 and the fastest in the world at the time: nought to one hundred and fifty miles an hour in ten seconds, with an ebony handle and goblin made ironwork fittings.
The Firebolt is a racing broom released in 1993 and, at the time, the fastest broomstick in the world. It goes from nought to one hundred and fifty miles an hour in ten seconds, carries an unbreakable Slowing Charm, holds a hover at mounting height when let go, and is prized for balance and precision. The handle is polished ebony and the twigs come in birch or hazel to the customer's preference, birch for lift and hazel for turning. Its metal fittings are goblin made ironwork, a first for a broomstick, which steadies it in bad conditions and stops the foot grips slipping. Randolph Spudmore developed it at a time when the Nimbus Racing Broom Company had the market, and every Firebolt carries a golden registration number.
