The Dumbledore's Army parchment is the list Hermione passes round at the Hog's Head meeting, asking everyone to sign it and so promise not to tell Umbridge what the group is up to.
Fred signs it cheerfully, but others hesitate to put their names on a list. Ernie, a prefect, worries about what happens if it is ever found, until Hermione asks whether he really thinks she would leave it lying around. Once Zacharias, the last, has signed, she tucks it carefully into her bag, and the group feels as though it has just agreed to a contract.
