Dumbledore's Army

Dumbledore's Army goes by DA for short, a name picked so that members can mention it outside their sessions without giving away what it is about. The letters could also stand for Defence Association, another name put forward for it. Every member's signature is on a sheet of parchment pinned to the wall, headed with the group's name in large letters.

The group gathers in the Room of Requirement, a spacious room lit by flickering torches, its walls lined with wooden bookcases and its floor scattered with large silk cushions in place of chairs. At the far end, shelves hold an array of strange instruments, among them a big cracked glass.
