A gentle herbivore that turns invisible and sees a little of the future, which makes it nearly impossible to catch unless the hunter acts unpredictably.
The Demiguise is a peaceful, herbivorous magical beast that can turn itself invisible and see a short way into the future. Both abilities make it valuable and difficult to get hold of; because it senses what a hunter intends, the only way to catch one is to do something completely unpredictable, and a cornered Demiguise gives a nasty nip. Its hair is woven into Invisibility Cloaks, which keeps the pelts in demand. In the runic alphabet, the creature's vanishing stands for the number zero.
