Christmas at Hogwarts means deep snow, holly and mistletoe on the walls of the Great Hall, twelve towering trees and a feast of a hundred roast turkeys.
Students who mean to stay over the holidays sign a list Professor McGonagall carries around, and Draco Malfoy sneers at those not wanted at home. For Harry, who expects nothing, the morning brings a small pile of packages, among them a hand-knitted sweater and homemade fudge from Mrs. Weasley, who knits one for each of her children every year.
