Cedric Diggory is the captain and Seeker of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, a tall, good-looking older student whom the Gryffindor Chasers call strong and silent.
Cedric is a lot bigger than Harry, his weight an advantage in a storm, and Oliver Wood warns that he has a very fast swerve. In a thunderstorm match he catches the Snitch just after Harry falls from his broom, then asks for a rematch when he looks back and sees Harry on the ground, though the win stands as fair. He comes over to congratulate Harry on the Firebolt.
