Bellatrix Lestrange

Bellatrix Lestrange, born Bellatrix Black in 1951, is the eldest of the three daughters, raised in the wealth and pure-blood pride of the House of Black. Her younger sisters are Andromeda and Narcissa. She began at Hogwarts in the early 1960s and was sorted into Slytherin. She is tall, with long, thick, shining dark hair, a strong jaw, a thin mouth and dark, heavily lidded eyes, and she carries the arrogant bearing common to her family. After leaving school she married Rodolphus Lestrange and joined Lord Voldemort's Death Eaters. She was convicted alongside her husband of torturing two Aurors for information in the aftermath of the first war against Voldemort, and sentenced to life in Azkaban.
