A Ministry of Magic wizard in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, tall with a ruddy face and scrubby beard.
Amos Diggory meets the Weasleys on a hilltop under a starry sky, holding a mouldy old boot that serves as their Portkey to the Quidditch World Cup. He greets Arthur Weasley warmly by name. On meeting Harry Potter he lights up and crows that Cedric beat Harry at Quidditch, while Cedric, embarrassed, insists Harry only fell off his broom.
