Alecto Carrow is a squat, stocky Death Eater who bursts onto the castle ramparts with her brother, wheezing with giggles at his side.
When she and Amycus come upon a wandless Dumbledore, she answers his courteous greeting with an angry titter and a jeer. As the fighting in the castle turns, she runs from Professor McGonagall's spells, shielding her head as she goes. A newspaper report names her the new Muggle Studies teacher at Hogwarts, with Amycus taking Defence Against the Dark Arts.
