Alastor Moody

Alastor Moody has a face scarred in every inch, as if someone clumsy with a chisel had cut it from weathered wood, with a mouth like a slanting gash and a large piece of the nose gone. His hair is grizzled and dark gray, worn in a long mane.

His two eyes do not match. One is small and dark, and the other is a huge, coin-round eye of electric blue that rolls in every direction without blinking and sometimes turns right over toward the back of his head. One leg is carved wood ending in a clawed foot, so he limps heavily, with a clunk on every other step.

By one account half the cells in the wizard prison are full because of him, and he is said to see Dark wizards everywhere in his old age.
