Orren

Orren is a Syndicate Liaison, an independent consultant retained by the Syndicate to act as a neutral third-party observer. He does not work for Borant. He works alongside the season's showrunners, the Syndicate government and the controlling AI, and describes himself as a fact finder who is not an AI, and not quite a sheriff, an attorney or a judge. When the reports from the kua-tin and the AI contradict each other or prove inconclusive, a liaison like him investigates and recommends what should be done.

Orren wears a hood with swirling darkness where his face should be. His hands are a purple so dark it is nearly black, with long fingers, and he speaks like a British professor through a faint distortion. He works from a small office in the Desperado Club with wood slat walls and a single tapestry.
