The Nothing is the dark hole beneath a trap door at the Desperado Club's games, waiting for any gambler whose spin lands on the Nothing space.
The Nothing space covers two slots on the Wheel of Fortune, an upright, round wheel of prizes worked by a croupier. The wheel's other red slots run to poison, vomiting blood and a stab in the stomach from the croupier himself. Every bet above the minimum swaps one red slot for a good one, but even the maximum bet leaves the Nothing in place. The roulette wheel carries a Nothing space too, and there players bet against landing on it.
Ethereal screams rise out of the hole beneath the trap door, and a ghostly, clawed arm reaches up from the darkness and dissolves into smoke.
