Krasue

Krasue are flying vampire heads. Each is a disembodied female head with long hair streaming around it, and its lungs, intestines and other organs dangle from the open base of the neck on wet strands of nerve and artery. Blood drips from them freely, and they shriek and howl like banshees as they spiral up into the evening sky. Each krasue is said to be what remains of a sinful woman, risen as undead. They roam dark places, hide their hideous true form, and feed hungrily on the blood of the unwary. They are level 16 ghost-class mobs, so only magic or magical items can hurt them. Striking the head and organs drives one off, but it lives on until the rest of its corpse is found and destroyed, and it grants no experience before then.
