Dungeon Crawler World brings in the real money for the Borant Corporation, by Mordecai's account. Borant trades in rare elements and does profit from the mining, yet the whole haul fits on a single transport. The Syndicate spans more than three billion independent star systems.

Mordecai, who says he loved Survivor, agrees that Dungeon Crawler World is a show of that kind, though he calls it more of a Running Man situation. The show's schedule shapes the dungeon as well, since the second floor's entrances stay closed until the introductory broadcast tunnels, about 30 hours after the dungeon is sealed. This season, a little under 13 million human crawlers made it through the gates.
