While working as a game guide, Mordecai's shape is a type of mob from the current floor of the dungeon.
A Changeling is a shapeshifter whose body takes a new form again and again. Mordecai, a guildmaster in the dungeon, is one. Born a skyfowl, a golden, eagle-like creature with angel-like wings, he has been a Changeling since reaching the third floor. Each time his guildhall moves, whether to a new world or to a much deeper level after the third floor collapses, his shape changes. The new form differs every time but is always a type of mob from the dungeon's current floor, and he does not know why.
