Carl is a former Coast Guard member from Seattle who repairs electrical systems on party boats.
On a bitter winter night he is out on the street in boxers, a leather jacket and pink Crocs that barely fit, trying to coax an escaped pet back indoors, when his whole apartment building is crushed flat like a tin can under a giant boot. Beatrice, the woman he lived with, went to the Bahamas for New Year's, and he ended things after seeing a photo of her on another man's lap. Inside the World Dungeon he becomes Crawler Number 4,122, and his first achievement is Crazy Cat Lady.
