Brindle Grub
Brindle Grubs are slow, fuzzy, cat-sized worms of the second floor that feed on corpses and grow larger the more they eat.
Brindle Grubs are level 2 monsters of the second floor, fat, fuzzy worms about the size of a cat with no legs and black and brown coloring. They take over from rats there as the cleanup crew, feeding on corpses.
The more monsters die in an area, the more the grubs eat, and the more they eat, the larger they grow. They are slow and soft, easy to kill, and offer little or no experience. Their older forms are far more dangerous, and finding grubs at the pupa stage is a sign to move on. A grub corpse can yield a Vial of Brindle Grub Hemolymph, an alchemy material.
