Asojano
Asojano is the Lord of Smallpox, an Orisha deity and a non-corporeal spirit, one of the most respected and feared of the Orishas and a level 130 city boss.
Asojano's reed headdress hides his features completely, sitting on his head like a second grass skirt or a lampshade that reaches halfway down his chest. Fire flickers up from his bare feet and legs in thin tendrils, the floor sizzles where he steps, and a faint, moss-colored aura surrounds him for about twelve inches. In one hand he holds a wand of bound reeds, wrapped in colorful string and hung with seashells. He smells like a rotting corpse, and his voice is heavy, strange and ancient.
The game's description calls him disease incarnate, a killer and a healer, life and death in one figure. It also jokes that the reed hat makes it hard for him to see where he is going, so he bumps into things a lot. By Asojano's own rule, all talk with him goes through a priest, on pain of withered crops, bubbling skin and ancestors cursed for eternity.
