Apito
Apito is the Oak Mother, the Mother of all Gods.
Apito is the tree goddess at the heart of elven worship. Several tales about her circulate, and they do not agree. One holds that her angels must remain free and alive to keep the path to heaven open. In another she calls the skyfowl blessed. A third, apocryphal tale gives the blessing to the angels alone, and in it she demands an end to any violence against them, threatening to destroy all the worlds if it goes on.
That third tale drives a doomsday sect of banished elves who devote themselves to protecting the skyfowl while they wait for the day the goddess destroys the universe.
