Sardaukar

The Sardaukar are the Padishah Emperor's own troops, and the fear of them is as much a part of Imperial power as the troops themselves. They are raised from early childhood in ground that kills six of every thirteen before the age of eleven, and what comes out of it has swordsmanship rated with a Ginaz Tenth Level, in-fighting cunning said to match a Bene Gesserit adept, and a religious fervour that makes the rest worse to face. One Sardaukar is reckoned the match of ten Landsraad conscripts. Their quality is put down to the harsh environment and brutal discipline of Salusa Secundus, the Corrino prison planet, and the only fighters said to come near them are the Fremen of Arrakis. They wear grey and black with gold trim, some of them with their hair long, which everyone else reads as arrogance.
