Jamis

Jamis is a Fremen of Sietch Tabr with a reputation for fighting ferociously and a formidable record as a raider, a good Fremen by the tribe's reckoning and a badly self-controlled one. Stilgar's Chronicle pays tribute to his bravery and his skill, and Stilgar had bested him once in a fight, which never stopped Jamis from calling out whoever he decided to call out. That exuberance is how he came by his wife: he called out Harah's mate Geoff and won. Harah speaks fondly of him. He loved the children, Geoff's son Kaleff and his own son Orlop alike, and made no distinction between them in their upbringing. He plays the nine-stringed baliset well.
