Irulan Corrino

The eldest of Padishah Emperor Shaddam Corrino IV's five daughters, Princess Royal Irulan Corrino was raised in the Imperial Court and educated by the Bene Gesserit into a lady of refinement, as her younger sisters Chalice, Wensicia, Josifa and Rugi were. Her father has expected since she was small that she would either take the throne after him or marry a political ally and hold House Corrino's grip on the Imperium that way. The Sisterhood invested in her as well, training her enough to be useful should she ever come to power. She turned out an average adept at best: too proud, in Lady Jessica's reading, to go far in that training, and carrying a sense of her own identity and ambition strong enough to set her against an equally strong-minded father. She writes, and what she writes is widely read.
