Face Dancer

Engineered by the Bene Tleilax and grown in axlotl tanks, a Face Dancer is sterile and cannot breed. Extra muscle and nerve linkages, prana-bindu training and a trained insight into how other people think let one of them reproduce the appearance, voice and manner of an adult regardless of that person's age, build, height or sex. The name comes from the way the features seem to dance while flesh and bone reconfigure. In their own form they are described as small, almost chinless, pug-nosed, with tiny mouths, black button eyes and short white hair standing up like the bristles of a brush. Within Tleilaxu society they rank below the Masters, and outside it they are placed wherever a convincing stranger is useful.
