Bellonda

Bellonda came up through the Sisterhood's Records and keeps the Bene Gesserit Archives on Chapterhouse, a Mentat Reverend Mother and one of the Mother Superior's councillors. She is old, fat and florid, cold-eyed, and valued for a viciousness that comes to her naturally. In council she returns to the Sisterhood's basic suspicions again and again and hammers at them. She could adjust her metabolism and be thin, and does not, and she wears spectacles, both of which are a statement she means to make. Odrade calls her Bell. She says what she thinks to the Mother Superior whether or not the Mother Superior wants it.
