Aloana Streggi is an Acolyte of the Intermediate Third Stage at the central Bene Gesserit complex on Chapterhouse, pulled off orchard management work and made the Mother Superior's personal aide. The selection had little to do with brilliance. What she has is an unusual sensitivity to her superior's moods and needs, which makes her quietly indispensable, along with dependable muscle, dependable intelligence, and a turn of mind that runs to philosophical questions.
