Western Sea Doors
Three freestanding doors on the sand of the Western Sea, each marked with the name of a person and each opening on a different city and year of another world.
The doors of the Western Sea stand upright on the sand of the beach, hinged to nothing, with open air behind them and on either side. Each is marked with a word or two naming a person, and each opens on a different city and a different year in another world. Through an open door Roland can look out through that person's eyes and hear what they are thinking, and if he steps through he goes into their body and can move it as though it were his own. No one else can open them, and they open nowhere but on that shore.
