Vampires

Vampires come in three kinds, and only the first is much like the creature of the old stories. A Type One is rare and powerful and nearly human to look at, with two long teeth, sometimes a shine to the eye, and a lifespan running to centuries. Sunlight burns it, it cannot come into a house uninvited, and a holy symbol turns it only as far as the faith of whoever holds the symbol goes. A Type Two is fast and strong but stupid, ravenous, and short lived. A Type Three passes for an ordinary person, eats ordinary food, walks about in daylight and cannot make more of its kind, and its bite leaves the bitten dazed and missing the memory of it.
