Unfound Door

The Unfound Door belongs to Wolves of the Calla, the fifth book of The Dark Tower, and to the volumes after it. The name denotes a magic door: freestanding ironwood, upright with hinges fixed on empty air, a crystal knob etched with a rose, and hieroglyphs on its face read as Unfound. Doors between worlds are part of the series' deep lore. The Dark Tower stands as the axis of all worlds, Mid-World's ruins mix the feudal and the futuristic, and passages exist for those with the means to find them. Roland Deschain, the last gunslinger, follows his quest for the Tower through the borderlands in the fifth book, and it is there that this door first stands before anyone in the story.
