The Traveller's Rest is the big saloon on the High Street of Hambry, owned by Coral Thorin, the Mayor's sister, where the town drinks and gambles late into the night.
Its long, high public room has a chandelier lit by gas until the small hours, an old scratched bar, and batwing doors. Coral keeps a small table by the doors for nights when she comes down from her suite to join the company. Sheb, the piano player, pounds out songs there, and the three new men in town, with small blue coffins tattooed on their hands, are often found lounging about the place.
