The Hitler Brothers surface in Wolves of the Calla, inside a long story told there of New York in the 1970s and 1980s. They are a pair of street killers of that city, professed Nazis who hunt Jews, Black New Yorkers, and anyone who stands with them, and their signature is a swastika carved into the forehead of a victim. The teller of the tale, a priest living in Calla Bryn Sturgis, nicknames the mismatched pair Lennie and George for the difference in their sizes. The Dark Tower series ranges far beyond Mid-World, and its city stories carry their own monsters, of an entirely human kind.
