Oriza
A throwing plate of light metal, sharpened along most of its rim and thrown like a discus, painted with blue webbing and rice seedlings that cross at one point to form the Great Letter Zn.
An Oriza is a throwing plate, a dish of light metal sharpened along most of its rim and thrown like a discus. The edges are painted with blue webbing and seedling rice plants, and at one point on the rim the plants cross to make the Great Letter Zn, which means both eternity and now. That spot is left thick and dull so the plate can be gripped and thrown without cutting the hand. A small fitting on the underside sets it whistling as it flies. The Sisters of Oriza are the ones known for their skill with them.
