A women's order vowed to charity, chastity and the khef, who nurse the sick and the hurt and sit with the grieving.
The Little Sisters, also called the Little Sisters of the Rose, are a women's order given over to the care of the sick, the hungry and the hurt, and to the healing of the soul along with the body. Each sister wears a white wimple with a dusky rose worked on the front, and binds herself to charity, chastity and the khef. They take the suffering of others as their own, feeling another's trials and sorrows as if they were theirs. In the war with John Farson they pitched white tents near the fighting, tended the wounded, buried the dead and sat with the grieving. Their house stands at Debaria, and at the centre of the compound is a garden of roses.
