Kimba Rimer is Chancellor and Minister of Inventory to Mayor Thorin of Hambry, a gaunt, very tall man in a pince-nez with a politician's smooth voice, whom Roland suspects of being the real force there.
Rimer greets the three young visitors at Seafront on their first evening of service in Mejis. Pale as candlewax and bald on top, with wisps of iron-gray hair floating at either side, he welcomes the boys warmly and laughs hard at a mild pleasantry. Roland has heard that he knows his business and keeps careful count of it.
