The Horn of Eld is an ancient brass horn of Mid-World legend, said to have been blown in battle by Arthur Eld himself and treasured as a sigul of his line, named in the lore from Wizard and Glass onward.
The Horn of Eld belongs to the deepest legend of The Dark Tower series, named in the lore that gathers around Arthur Eld from Wizard and Glass, onward. It is an ancient brass horn, said in the old accounts to have been carried and blown in battle by Arthur Eld himself, the mythic High King of All-World from whom the gunslingers of Gilead trace their line. Such an object is a sigul, in Mid-World speech: a sign and token of the line that bears it. The gunslingers are the knights of Roland's fallen civilization, and their relics, guns, swords, and horns alike, carry the weight of everything lost in a world that has moved on.
