Two kinds are known.
Doorways between worlds turn up in Mid-World and in our own, and they come in two kinds. Some are made of magic, taking their shape from the mind of whoever walks up to them, and where and when they let out cannot be relied on. Others are machinery, built long ago by the Old Ones out of engineering and magic together, and those open on one fixed place and one fixed time, the same every time they are used.
