Cressia is a barony in the west whose seat, Indrie, John Farson and his men burn nearly to the ground, after which Cressia turns from the Affiliation and speaks for the Good Man.
Steven Deschain and his men ride to Cressia hunting Farson and hoping to find a glass ball there, but Farson vanishes from the barony like smoke on the wind. Hundreds die in the slaughter at Indrie. The barony even lends a saying, which Eldred Jonas quotes in Hambry: a thief after the silver should shut the dog away first.
