The Big Coffin Hunters are three hired guns in Wizard and Glass, Eldred Jonas, Clay Reynolds, and Roy Depape, working the town of Hambry under a thin pretence of law enforcement, each tattooed with a blue coffin.
They are three hired men working the town of Hambry in the Barony of Mejis: Eldred Jonas, their white-haired leader, with Clay Reynolds and Roy Depape riding under him, each marked with a small blue coffin tattooed on the right hand. The town's sheriff lets them operate under a loose pretence of law enforcement, and most of Hambry finds it easier not to ask what three out-barony gunmen are doing in a quiet fishing and horse town. When three boys from In-World arrive on a counting errand, the two crews take each other's measure early.
