Andy is the tall, thin messenger robot of Calla Bryn Sturgis, the last robot for miles around, who spreads gossip all over town and loves telling horoscopes.
Andy's gold chest bears the stamp of North Central Positronics and LaMerk Industries and his design, Messenger (Many Other Functions), and he has outlasted all the other robots, which have been gone for generations. He roams the Calla singing songs and never crosses its borders. His one function that matters most is grim: he knows when the Wolves are coming out of Thunderclap, a month ahead, and he is never wrong.
