Stormlight is a radiant energy held in gemstones, glowing in the sapphire lamps and jeweled hair of the Alethi court, which Szeth can breathe in to heal himself, Lash and strike.
To Szeth it is sacred, and he finds it profane that the Alethi spend it on mere light. Drawn in with a deep breath, it rages inside him like a tempest, quickens his body, mends his wounds and powers his Lashings, while wisps of it curl from his skin like glowing smoke. It cannot be held long, since a body leaks it away within minutes, and cracked Shardplate bleeds it too.
