Oathgate

Oathgates are devices out of Rosharan legend. The old stories that surround the Knights Radiant say the Radiants moved between the great cities of the world and their center at Urithiru by means beyond ordinary travel, and surviving records name Oathgates as part of that system. Most people of the modern era have never heard the word at all, and the educated Rosharans who have generally class the Oathgates with myth: relics of the Heraldic Epochs, real or invented, that passed out of knowledge along with the Radiants themselves. What an Oathgate is, what one looks like, where one might stand, and whether the old accounts describe anything real are questions the histories leave open.
