Listener Forms

A listener's form is not a costume but a body, taken by bonding a particular kind of spren, and each one carries its own traits. Warform builds the muscle and armor for fighting. Workform suits labor, mateform suits courtship and family. A form reaches down into how a listener thinks and even into temperament, so a listener who changes finds parts of themselves changed with it, though they remain themselves underneath. Children need no form at all and are lively without one, but a child who has not taken one by their seventh or eighth year is caught in dullform, a poorer version of mateform. Nobody can be ordered into a form. A change can be asked for or argued for, never forced.
