Lift

Lift is a young thief introduced in an interlude of Words of Radiance. A girl of Reshi descent, small, wiry, and quick, she slips into the Bronze Palace of Azimir, capital of Azir, with a crew of housebreakers, and while the others hunt valuables she makes for the kitchens. Food is her compass: she measures every risk against what there is to eat, and she talks her way through danger with a street child's mixture of nonsense and nerve. Lift keeps her own counsel about where she comes from and what she wants. She insists on doing things her own way, treats rules as suggestions made by people slower than she is, and holds one conviction openly, which is that she is, on the whole, awesome.
